Immersion at Westwood Lutheran Church

The purpose of the Life of Faith Initiative is “to stir up a culture change that frees us to make the service by the baptized in the arenas of daily life the central focus of the church’s mission.” One congregation that has made significant strides toward fulfilling this purpose is Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota (a Minneapolis suburb). On October 8 and 9 of this year, the Life of Faith Initiative will host an immersion that will offer participants the opportunity to visit and learn how Westwood has shaped its entire ministry around grace and vocation. Participants will gain insight into the rationale for making the change, the challenges that can be expected along the way, and the congregational revitalization that will emerge.
